The rules of the road.

1. Who can use the app
You must be at least 18 years old to use Difficult Discussions. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
2. What this app is, and is not
Difficult Discussions is a rehearsal tool. It helps you practice having a conversation. It is not professional advice — not legal, not medical, not psychological, not employment, not financial. The AI counterpart is a software character; it is not a counselor, a coach, an attorney, or any other licensed professional. Treat the critique as a thinking aid, not a prescription.
If you are in crisis or need professional support, please reach out to a qualified human in your jurisdiction.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to harass other people, generate content that targets identifiable individuals in a defamatory or threatening way, or attempt to circumvent the safety constraints described in our documentation. You also agree not to attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app's prompts, models, or back-end behavior.
4. Purchases and refunds
The app is sold as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase through Apple. Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple under their standard refund process. We are unable to issue refunds directly.
5. No warranty on outcomes
The app does not promise any specific real-world outcome. Practicing a conversation is not the same as having one, and the AI counterpart cannot fully simulate the specific human you are about to talk to. Use your own judgment.
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any.
7. Changes to the app and to these terms
We may update the app and these terms over time. Material changes to the terms will be reflected by an updated "last updated" date on this page.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
